Gulfton Global Market
Gulfton is one of the most internationally diverse neighborhoods in the United States, and on July 11th, it is throwing a party for everyone to see it. The Gulfton Global Market is a free outdoor community pop-up presented by the Gulfton Area Management District and Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones, held at SER Ninos Charter School right in the heart of the neighborhood. Global food vendors and local artisans set up across the grounds, live music runs the full afternoon, and free face painting and balloon art keep the kids busy while you eat. Christina Autry of @houstonsgotspice will be there in person. No tickets, no registration, no catch. Just show up between noon and 4pm and let Gulfton do the rest. If you have been curious about this neighborhood, this is the easiest possible entry point.
